PetroSorb, Inc. was founded in 1993 to focus on providing industrial end-users with alternative methods of absorbing petroleum spills, leaks, and drips in shop, factory and remote sites. A special emphasis is placed on the development of reusable absorbent products that cut consumer costs and protect the environment. Petro-KwikSorb is the only reusable absorbent of its kind, based on proprietary technology, available exclusively through PetroSorb Distributors. The PetroSorb product line also includes reusable absorbent socks, pillows, and emergency spill kits as well as cost effective support items. The EZ-Sweep product line was new in 1996 and was introduced as the alternative to clay and mineral based sorbents. EZ-Sweep is a general purpose particulate made of 100% recycled wood fiber and absorbs up to 6 times more liquid than clay products do. EZ-Sweep is safe for the end user, containing no respirable crystalline silica dust common to clay that is a cause of silicosis according to the IARC. Disposal is also more cost effective by using less product at a lighter weight through incineration or possibly landfilling. EZ-Sorb, the third line offering, consists of economical polypropylene absorbents for single use applications. Pads, rolls, socks, and spill kits complete the line for the cost sensitive customer that demands quality.
